The Versus Information System, VISion™, is a passive, real-time locating system (RTLS) that locates, automates and records interactions for prospective and retrospective analysis. How does the Versus Information System “VISion” Work?

VISion™ tags, attached to hospital equipment or worn by individuals, transmit radio-frequency identification and infrared signals to ceiling-mounted sensors strategically placed throughout a facility. These dually transmitted signals function as one system, but strategically serve different purposes. The IR signals are bound by walls and provide definitive location information, even as precise as bed-level. Versus uses the RF signal to identify zonal areas, to enunciate call/alert messages, and as a general beacon to confirm the badge or tag is active. The collected location data is formatted, sent via the facility intranet, and displayed in graphical software views.

VISion incorporates the data collected through the Versus sensory network with dynamic viewing software to display equipment locations, patient milestones, staff interactions and room status. The Versus software is so advanced that it can easily deliver location information to 3rd-party systems, allowing facilities to leverage location data with their existing clinical systems.
